Prof. Toshiharu Kasai uses the stage name Itto Morita for his butoh performances. Itto is butoh dancer and founder of the butoh company GooSay Ten. He is also dance therapist and psychologist. He works at the clinical psychology department of the University of Sapporo in Japan. Currently during his sabbatical he is located in London. In March 2010 he returns home. As a psychologist he builds upon Jung's theories about the human condition. The Jungian interpretation of Freuds libido, the use of archetypes and the collective unconscious are key concepts in the teachings of Itto Morita. Using these basic concepts our workshop encourage dancers to develop their own movement language. During the workshop Itto exposes deeper layers in the dancer enriching his or her movement vocabulary. Through decades of experience and working with many individuals he has developed into a skillful teacher of the unteachable. By letting go of all conventions, only the dancer in space and time remains. His workshops are therefore not only interesting for performing artists, but also for seekers who want to enrich their own development. A unique opportunity for anyone interested in performance, dance, psychology and shamanism. Itto is only a short time in Europe and we would like to use this opportunity to allow you participate in this interesting workshop. Please request the enrollment form by email at: info@destorm.eu.
