This years last Chisenhale Art Club is on Wednesday the 8th of December. Then its back in February!Chisenhale Art Club is a monthly night curated by the artists, Matt Shlomowitz, Bryony Kimmings, and Roberta Jean and is a mixed bill of Dance, Live Art, Music and Film… this is what we love and want to share.This months Art Club features:Augusto CorrrieriAugusto is a performance artist presenting new choreographic works for theatres and galleries.  Both playful and rigourous, the performances investigate the connections between the mechanism of theatre and our place in today's society of the spectacle. In the attempt to uncover the codes and conventions  of theatre, the works experiment with reversing the roles of performers and spectators, light and darkness, music and silence, movement and stillness, the visible and the invisible. http://www.augustocorrieri.comKerry YongWorks often originally for piano with electronics from the modernist classical tradition, are adapted and performed by Kerry Yong on an 80s casio keyboard (at the moment, a MT-210) with effects pedals (and other electronics where necessary), with striking effect.http://kerry-yong.blogspot.com/Both Bryony and Matt have shared work at the club thus far. Decembers Art Club will introduce the work of the third curator…Roberta JeanRoberta makes dance works for theatres, in site-specific and site-responsive contexts. Working in order to dismantle different cultural physical conventions, traditions and personas, she looks to the physicality of habitual patterns, routine and ritual, group frenzies and flocks. She has a strong interest in the untrained body, it’s growth, decay and what events cause it to morph and distort.
