The third edition of the Internation Summer Course, organised by the dance deprtment of the danse du Conservatoire Populaire de Musique, Danse et Théâtre (CPMDT) and the Ecole de Danse de Genève (EDG) will take pace from 19 to 30 August 2013. Both schools are accredited by the State of Geneva and are members of the Confédération des Ecoles genevoises de Musique, Danse, Théâtre et Rythmique Jacques-Dalcroze (CEGM).
The course is for dance students between 12 and 23 years old of intermediate or advanced standard.
The stage includes technical classes in ballet and contemporary dance. During the first week , students will be able to take a daily workshop around the creative process behing pieces in the repertoire of choreographer Crystal Pite (Company: Kidd Pivot). The second week, students will be studying the style and repertoire of the Brussels-based company Peeping Tom.
Classes will take place in the studios of CPMDT and EDG, situated in the Plainpalais quarter. Both schools offer large working spaces adapted to dance training and creation.
