The renowned Limon Dance Company will celebrate its 75th Anniversary Season with two weeks of live performances, two different programs, at the Joyce, April 19-May 1.  Program A (Week 1): "Psalm" and "Chaconne" by Limon; "Air for the G String" by Doris Humphrey, and the premiere of "Only One Will Rise" by Olivier Tarpaga, a native of Burkina Faso.   Program B (Week 2): "Danzas Mexicanas" and "Waldstein Sonata" by Jose Limon, and the premiere of "Migrant Mother" by Mexican choreographer Raul Tamez.  Under the artistic direction of Dante Puleio, the Limon Dance Company continues to honor its legacy through the preservation, reconstruction, and reimagining of their work while giving audiences a glimpse into the future of the Company.
