About the performance/ Lab

Marlon Barrios presents the generative system "50/50 X 7" developed
by the Takween Collective using fundamental ideas and design
principles of biological intelligence and self-organizing systems.

Metacreation is geared to reveal and augment the potential of the
embodied intelligence of the dancers to compose in real-time and
become the co-creators (together with the audience) of a multimedia
generative environment. The performer uses the latest post PC (Ipads
and tablets) technology to inhabit an open and mutating landscape that
unfold non-linear pathways and narratives.

The system and instructions used are sampled and shared as open
source. All is recombinant and hybrid.
