Broadway comes to Nigeria with "Oluronbi: The Dance-Musical", a theatrical extravaganza debuted at the AGIP Hall, MUSON, on September 19, 2009. Directed by Victor Eze-Okwuchukwu and assisted by Awoba Bobmanuel Walis and featured a 50-man cast drawn from Nigeria's finest singers: Yinka Davies, Utibe Nganga, and actors (Ireti Doyle, Hafiz Oyetoro.The play tells the tale of a beautiful-but barren-queen who makes a deal with a powerful deity in return for the gift of childbirth, and then has to live with the consequences.It further photo framed the dilemma of any woman or young lady who does not really recognize or realize the strength in her WOMANHOOD."Oluronbi: The Musical" was a real experience like no other.Above all, due to its overwhelming success, the production is coming up again in December 4th and 5th 2009.
