Open call: ROZBARK IN MOTION // 21^st Annual International Contemporary Dance Conference and Performance Festival

When: June 28^th – July 6^th

The 21^st edition of Annual International Contemporary Dance Conference and Performance Festival

will take place between June 28^th – July 6^th, 2014. European dance and performance works by emerging and established artists will be presented on the most important cultural venues and public spaces of Bytom. The open call is directed to the contemporary dance companies. The perfomance should not be shorter than 50 minutes and there should be minimum 3 dancers on the stage.

The 2014 festival aims to bring contemporary dance and performance closer to the audience. Programs and performances of the ROZBARK IN MOTION are designed with the intention of encouraging dancers to build their own forms of expression by respecting and culling movement from personal influences: national traditions, mentality, geopolitical setting, historical and contemporary issues, etc.

The principal mission and assumption of the new artistic institution is creating and propagating the art of contemporary dance, enriched by other forms of the art of movement (such as pantomime, classical ballet, street dance, etc.).

Artists / Companies who are interested in participating are kindly asked to send their dossier including:

• DVD of the proposed work(s) or video posted on-line – full length documentation,

• title, credits, short description, photos,

• company description (max. 1200 characters, includng spaces),

• choreographer bio (max. 1200 characters, includng spaces),

• duration (min. 50 min.),

• year of creation,

• press reviews (if available),

• technical rider.

For the chosen companies Festival will provide:

• performance fee,

• accomodation,

• full board,

• promotion of the performance,

• in the particular cases – reimbursement of the travel expenses.
