GARR will host the TERENA and Internet2 hands-on audio/video production workshop that will be held on 13-15 July 2009, at the Music Conservatory of Trieste, Italy. The workshop is meant to be the first in a series of annual events emphasising the equipment and staffing requirements for interactive performing arts education, multi-site performance events, and high quality netcasting over advanced networks.http://www.garr.it/eventiGARR/papws/index.html#The main target of the workshop are people from institutions which produce events in the performing arts area (music schools and academies, dance academies, arts academies, ...) and want to explore the new possibilities and challenges that advanced education and research networks can offer them and their institutions. More over also people involved in audio/video production in other areas can greatly benefit from the presentations, and practical "hands on" sessions with edge advanced applications and services.
