Lucy Cash and Becky Edmunds will lead a practical screendance workshop that responds to recent thinking about choreography as an expanded field - of the choreographic as something that can be separated from dance and dancing and that involves unique ways of thinking to do with structure and a sense of embodiment. We will explore composition through a series of creative exercises with and without a camera, as well as through discussion around examples of screen based works.

Becky Edmunds is a filmmaker with a background in dance and performance. Her screen works, including short films, multi-screen installations and documentaries, are composed choreographically with strong emphasis on pattern and rhythm.

Lucy Cash is a filmmaker and artist from a background in performance and dance. Her moving image works include single screen films, multi-channel installations ad site-specific works. Movement in many different forms, is a connecting thread in all her work.
