Themes of this solo performance are drawn from the interface and relationship of humans and nature, the poetry of Pablo Neruda, imagery from dreams and folk tales, altered physical states and the music of Nic McGowan.
Originally created for Dinamiche Scomposte and the Dotline Dance Festival in Tuscany, Italy in November 2011, this solo variation has its origins in ‘Soul of the Beast’ - an ensemble dance and physical theatre production by Juliet Shelley performed in Wellington & Christchurch, New Zealand for The Body Festival of Dance and Physical Theatre in October & November 2011. www.theatreview.org.nz/reviews/production.php?id=2299&fb_source=message
