NEW YORK - The Theater at the 14th Street Y continues to honor the edgy, diverse, and rich history of innovative culture making in the East Village for people of all ages with the 2018-2019 LGBTQ+ Series. The series kicked off on November 12, 2018 with #NastyWomen, A Night of Female Resistance Comedy and runs through April 2019.

"For our season of War & Peace, we knew that artists from the LGBTQ community would have a strong reaction to the theme. Coming out can often feel like war and creating a family can bring much needed peace. Our LGBTQ offerings this season have addressed the gamut, from Vietnam Veterans coming to terms with their sexuality to a TYA show with a non-gender binary protagonist to a piece about a modern family facing discrimination from within.  Our theater is a safe place for provocative work that will inspire conversation, debate and hopefully action," said Ronit Muszkatblit, Artistic Director.
