2nd > 17th of July 2010 in Cappadocia, TurkeyContact-Improvisation and Improvised Music & Dance, in the beautiful Cappadocia region, twice listed as world heritage by UNESCO.WORKSHOPS with Nancy Stark Smith & Mike Vargas and Kirstie Simson & Le Quan NinhWe are happy to welcome in Transit Nancy Stark Smith and Mike Vargas who will propose an immersion into the practice of Contact Improvisation through their intensive States of Grace workshop. This will be a great opportunity for the Turkish dance community to meet one of the artists involved at the firsts stages of this form in the early seventies in the United States. Since, Nancy has developed a detailed personal approach that she shares through worldwide teaching and through consistent writing and publishing on the subject.During the second week, to persue our interest in the combined work of improvised music and dance, we have the great pleasure to host a Transit born tandem with Kirstie Simson and Lê Quan Ninh. They will share their mutual passion for improvisation through their Active Listening workshop for musicians and dancers. Along the week, we will inscribe our musical and physical engagement in the village of Uchisar, while including the local audience in the flow of our artistic venture.
