Call for Submissions for vBrooklyn -- A video festival about Brooklyn as a place and video as an art form.We encourage cross-discipline submissions -- We had some good video/dance pieces in the 2007 festival.Complete information at http://www.vBrooklyn.org, including submission guidelines and contact information.It's running December 12 to 14, 2008, at Polytechnic University, Brooklyn, in cooperation with the Integrated Digital Media Institute and Forward Motion TheatervBrooklyn documents Brooklyn, NY's, evolving cityscape, culture and people with contemporary video-art.vBrooklyn wants to visually record Brooklyn's urban landscape, activities and experiences before the current wave of development and population influx permanently change them -- Our goal is video-artists building Brooklyn's historic record through personal interpretation and factual documentationvBrooklyn focuses on what defines Brooklyn as a uniquely strong, identifiable city within a city.With Brooklyn itself the subject of the festival, we hope to create symbiosis between it and the resulting works.
