This FREE 3 HOUR WORKSHOP will explore the process of guiding young voices to create original work. In a “Lab” setting, participants will share experiences and techniques with peers, and walk away with new ideas for shaping original, student-generated dance, theater and performance work in classrooms, residencies and beyond. Key focuses of this workshop include:
- What are key elements in developing and producing student created work
- Strategies to working with your support community
- Different models for cultivating original work by young people
- Baseline skills to create a safe space in performance
- Exploring a developmental Tool Box
