Born in Bulgaria and holding Portuguese nationality, Ana Leitão is a dancer, choreographer, researcher, and director, as well as the creator of projects such as TUDANZAS (2012-present) and Bacantoh (Barcelona, 2010, and Brazil, 2017). She is currently a PhD candidate in Dance at the Faculty of Human Kinetics in Lisbon. She holds a postgraduate degree in Dance in the Community from the Faculty of Human Kinetics in Lisbon, and a degree in Contemporary Dance from the Conservatory of Ballet-Theatre in Porto. She also holds a Bachelor's degree in Physics and Applied Mathematics to Astronomy from the University of Porto, a Master's degree in Complex Systems and "Origin and Evolution of Life" from the University of Minho, and a Master's degree in Project and Cultural Space Management - E-learning Training from Divulgación Dinámica, Asociación Nacional de Centros de Enseñanza E-learning y Distancia, Spain. As the choreographer of Bacantoh, her most recent works have been presented in Barcelona, São Paulo, and Taubaté. Ana Leitão is a reference in community projects in the city of Barcelona, having been invited to participate in the Jornadas sobre cultura inclusiva y arte comunitario, Servei de Desenvolupament Empresarial (SDE) y l’Àrea de Públics, L’Institut Català de les Empreses Culturals (ICEC) and the Jornades Internacionals d'Acció Comunitària, Institut de Govern i Polítiques Públiques - Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, Ajuntament de Barcelona.
