I am a dance artist, performer, and choreographer, who works with computer augmented performance and sensor-based technology. My work takes place in two capacities: 1) with Smith/Wymore Disappearing Acts and 2) within the Z-Lab – a site for real-time interactive collaboration at UC Berkeley where I am an Associate Professor of dance. Within Smith/Wymore Disappearing Acts my co-Artistic Director Sheldon Smith and myself create performances that engage with technology. Within the Z-Lab I work with my collaborators at UC Berkeley to create digital platforms for performance and host symposia and salon-type performances inviting performers from the Bay Area performance/technology scene and international guests.
