Monika Dorniak constructs a multidimensional symbiose within her work which stems from interdisciplinary fields like art and science, psychology and philosophy, technology and nature. Her concepts are developed by using profound knowledge and confronting it with current challenges. The aim is to bring social standards into question, and reformulate the opaque categorization of the individuum in our Zeitgeist.
Studying fashion design in London (2008-2010) lead her to a research in psychology on the University of Trier (20011-2013). The keenness in Neuro- and Social Psychology implicated an internship at the FU Berlin, Cluster "Languages of Emotion", Study: "Sound/Music and the Brain". In Oct 2013 she continues her studies at the UDK/ HZT Berlin applying her previous research within psychology and design to the BA Choreography/Dance.
