About Me (human/individual)/interests, work..short bio/ THis is the most important. It is the only way to know that you are not a SPAMBOT!Be generous!
I am an independent performing dance artist. My passion is modern dance and creating collaborative work. For the past 4 years I have involved in the field of dance and technology such as making dance for camera, video installation and experimental multimedia work combined with the dance discipline. I am highly interested in learning and experimenting more about dance for camera and motion capture work. My heart is always in my hometown, ISTANBUL, currently I reside in the United States. I hold a BA degree in Dance from Yildiz Technical University, Istanbul and an MFA degree in Dance&Technology from University of California, Irvine. I have a deep passion and curiosity towards life-long learning process, researching about social issues, dance for camera and multimedia art and more. Now I perform at an Atlanta, GA based modern dance company "Full Radius Dance", teach pilates and try to find colleguages for collaborative multimedia dance projects. I am always hungry for different perspectives of art and would love to meet with more brilliant artists. As the artistic director of Dance Camera Istanbul Festival, I would like to call for submitions for dance on camera artists, videographers, filmmakers, producers and dancers, choreographers, musicians, photographers... The festival will be held in between October 15th - November 15th 2009. Please see our festival call for submissions through our website. I am also looking forward to learn Isadora...
