3 minute trailerOriginal Footage: British LibraryStills: Hugo GlendinningI WANNA BE IN THAT SHOW is a performance about wanting to be in a performance. It's about an audience member who wants to be part of the action unfolding before his very eyes, and who gets out of his seat and climbs on stage to be part of that action.Recalling tit-bits from the iconic histories of performance art, personal narrative and Owen's own back catalogue of performances, I WANNA BE IN THAT SHOW interrogates ways of remembering and historicising – exploding any linear canonisation of performance art – it explores the potential in desire and aspiration, and in art that makes you want to make more art.Originally presented by Performance Matters at Toynbee Theatre, London in 2010. Performed and created by Owen Parry with performers Luís Lázaro Matos, Giovanni Bienne and Jenna Rossi-Camus. Specially commissioned headpiece by Alun Davies. It also included the film premier of I WANNA BE IN THAT FILM (2010) The work has been adapted for various smaller scale presentations and lectures.Owen G Parry © 2010
