Modern Body Festival is an intermedia initiative based in The Hague, founded and curated by artists. Our 2nd biennial edition will be a 5-day event, taking place in various re-purposed spaces in the Hague.

Modern Body Festival strives to examine the nature of our current existence through the perspective of the ‘modern body’. With this year’s theme: I/WE/THEY, we examine the social body, and explore the cultural borders of a globalized world.

The first 3 days (29 November - 1 December) include full-day workshops and evening symposia open to the public; on 2nd and 3rd of December there will be an extensive exhibition and performances in Paviljoen Baruch (former Gemak) and De Nieuwe Regentes theater. The festival presents many Dutch and international premieres and features multidisciplinary works from renowned and emerging artists such as Atau Tanaka, Kasper Toeplitz & Myriam Gourfink, A.lter S.essio, Karel van Laere, Jeroen van Ameijde & Luis Rodil Fernandez, and many others!

Check out our website for more information on the artists, workshops, symposia, exhibition, and how to get your tickets!
