  • He typically uses an infrared camera to capture a clear profile of the dancer, then analyzes the image to find the center and edges of the dancer's body. From there it's a question of building video generators which produce images around the dancer's body, which are then projected onto the floor. Frieder writes his own software, but this is the sort of thing one could do with Max/Jitter and, to a certain degree, with Isadora.
