Call for proposal : The modification of perception in public space.

For the 5th edition of the Bains numériques international digital arts festival (12-19 June 2010), the centre des arts is organising aninternational competition for creative works that mix “visual arts” with “new technologies”. This international call for projects is thefirst step of the competition and aims at pre-selecting five visual art projects that are either in progress or recently completed. Eachproposal will in some way or another consider the notion of public space, the diversity of its landscapes and land use, its ebb and flow andthe constraints upon it. The successful installations will be showcased around Enghien-les-Bains as part of a public open-air exhibition.After the applications have been examined, an arts committee will select five international projects. The chosen pieces will bepresented around the city for the duration of the festival. The teams of artists selected will be auditioned by a jury, in public, onWednesday 16 June 2010. To close the festival, the winning project will receive a Creation Award comprising a €4,000 grant, a residency, the programming of a new project as part of the Bains Numériques#6 Festival and distribution assistance.http://www.bainsnumeriques.fr/
