  • Talk / Discussion under the image and movement workshop led by Toni Mira and David Dalmazzo in La Caldera. Saturday 15th May from 10.30am. Free admission. Limited capacity

To close the week of the workshop led by TONI MIRA and DAVID DALMAZZO in
La Caldera, NU2's proposes a talk / discussion to present three support
and experimentation initiatives about digital tools applied to the
performing arts: the project HELLOWORLD! (Madrid), the MEDIAESTRUCH
of Sabadell and the NU2’s LABS's in L'animal a l’esquena

The session aims to inform and discuss about the challenges of the dance
/ new media creation and the collaborative initiatives to create spaces
for artists from the differents sectors.

- David Rodriguez will discuss the objectives and projects
developed by HelloWorld! , stable platform focused on production and new
technologies. They work at the Medialab-Prado, in the Teatro Pradillo
and Galería Off Limits of Madrid. +info:

- Oriol Rossell and Julià Carboneras will present MEDIAESTRUCH,
L'Estruch new department dedicated to the convergence of the performing
arts and new technologies.+info:

- Núria Font will discuss the experiences of the laboratories
organized by NU2's in L'animal al'esquena since 2004 and will introduce
the characteristics of the LAB for this year.

By late morning, Toni Mira and David Dalmazzo will present the artists
participating in the workshop and the work they carried out.

The 4th Inclusiva-net Encounter: P2P Networks and Processes will take place in Medialab-Prado Madrid from July 6 to 10, 2009.The goal of this international meeting is to debate about social and cultural potentials of these peer-to-peer networked systems, as well as their feasibility as an alternative model of knowledge production, based in collaboration, decentralization and the lack of hierarchy.This new edition of the Inclusiva-net platform includes a program of lectures, seminars, round tables, paper presentations, and debate groups. International Workshop-Seminar on Public Data Visualization will take place in November 12 - 27, 2009 at Medialab-Prado (Madrid, Spain).Deadline for projects and papers: October 5, 2009Call for collaborators: October 16 - November 11, 2009 by José Luis de Vicente. Teachers: Ben Cerveny (Stamen) and Aaron Koblin. With the support of Bestiario.This new edition will focus on the implications of using data structure visualization to aid in public processes of decision-making. Selected projects and papers will tackle the topic of Open Data and Visualization for Government Transparency and Civic Engagement.Visualizar'09 includes an international seminar and an advanced project development workshop. Both activities will tackle the topic of transparency of data to make public discussion and debate possible, regarding the political, social, and scientific processes.
