LUCHA PROJECT AT DY3CORPIA EXHIBITION-CANADA

12249587456?profile=originalLUCHA is a AI research and creation project by Brisa MP human artist. Lucha is a machine for the performing arts. The project explores the notion of body-data and the collaboration between machines and humans, displacing  of the  choreographer category to the machine and activating a peaceful audience as representation of our controlled society.

LUCHA suggest the role of matters  are not, in the present day, and will ever be in future, only means of human expression and human creation, but they may one day enter into a de-hierarchical or even superior dialogue with the human race. LUCHA 1.0 is my first exploration into artificial intelligence that was created upon the performing art s and technology piece titled HERE.

LAND V.0 (WORK IN PROGRESS)

LAND V.0 is a project that investigates physical versus virtual space, and how time, space and presence are embodied via the internet towards the creation of a communicating relationship. A collaborative project between Lisa Parra, choreographer (USA) and Daniel Pinheiro, video/media artist (Portugal) for developing methods for artistic research using telecommunication technologies.
(...)
The project between Lisa Parra and Daniel Pinheiro started as a collaboration within the Minded Motion lab #MetaAcademy – realized during the Bates Dance Festival 2013 – organized by Marlon Barrios Solano, Rachel Boggia, Nancy Stark Smith and Josephine Dorado. An online lab dedicated to the exploration of embodiment activities and co-creation across the internet.

MOOCing?

Ever wonder how online instruction in higher education is going to impact dance? Might teaching composition courses online add a layer of richness on top of physical practice? Perhaps, so long as administrations don't reduce our course content to online instruction. In MOOCing?, a new composition that I am working on for UC Berkeley students, I will choreograph and set a dance remotely. Of course distance collaboration is nothing new to the arts, but under the heading of "online instruction" we will consider the future of higher education in dance.Follow our process at moocingbdp.wordpress.com. We will begin regular postings next month.

Marlon Barrios Solano (creator and producer of dance-tech.net, dance-tech.tv and more than 400 video interviews and webcasts) will share his experience on developing horizontal architectures for knowledge production, exchange and distribution afforded by the new internet and portable technologies. His projects explore social networking and internet video production and distribution, live video broadcasting, online curatorial strategies and tactics, collaborative creativity/learning and mobile augmented reality technologies. He investigates the internet as a participatory creative ecosystem and as a space for social innovation and collaborative action. Syneme will hold a ground breaking summer workshop on telearts from July 4-22, 2011, at the University of Calgary in Alberta, Canada at the foothills of the Canadian Rocky Mountains. Syneme’s Telearts summer workshop aims to attract professional artists and musicians without year-round access to high-speed networks. Attendees will implement projects utilizing Syneme's (and those of our partner's) robust network infrastructure that carries HD video and uncompressed multichannel audio. A major focus of the course is to share ideas/methodologies in progress as related to telearts projects. The workshop will conclude with an international networked, real-time collaborative performance.

Syneme’s partners include the Banff Centre, McGill? and Concordia Montreal, IDC Emily Carr, CEMC and Peking Univ Beijing, NUS Singapore, SARC Belfast, University of Waikato NZ, Hong Kong PolyU, Videotage HK, Bournemouth UK, and Stanford and Indiana Purdue US.
