Tees Dance Film Fest - CALL OUT FOR DANCE FILMS!

 
WE ARE NOW SEEKING SHORT DANCE FILMS FOR SUBMISSION

We are interested in ways in which filmmakers explore the genres of creative experimental choreography and filmmaking.

Films can include real life dancers, animation and digital elements but must fuse dance and filmmaking in original and innovative ways.

The 2nd exibition of Tees Dance Film Festival takes place on 14th of May 2015 and will feature two categories:

1. Dance Films created by Professional Artists

  • Professional films must be no longer than 15 minutes
  • Dance film submissions in this category should be engaging and creative, inspired by spaces, landscapes and cultures

2. Dance Films created by Young Artists 14-25 years.

  • The film must be no longer than 5 minutes
  • Films that capture the body in new and exciting ways e.g. on location, site specific, fragmentation of the dancing body, non-linearity

Please note dance films that show dance performance for the proscenium stage or of documentary style will not be considered.

ReelDance Call for Screen Dance Submission​s

ReelDance is currently inviting submissions of Australian and international screen dance work in the following categories*:

+ single channel (looped for installation)
+ multi-channel (looped for installation)
+ screen dance short – under 10mins (single screening)
+ mid-length screen dance – 10-60mins (single screening)
+ dance documentary (single screening)
+ online and/or mobile environments

*Entries must fall within the following definition: the work must contain within its main concerns dance and/or dynamic expressions of movement created specifically for the screen, be it human movement, the dance-like movement of inanimate objects, dance effects achieved through filming or post-production, or abstract motion studies. NOTE: Recordings of live dance performance will not be considered (unless as part of dance documentary).


*Only works created after 1 January 2010 will be considered.


*Closing date for submissions: 29 February 2012, AEDT 17:00 hrs

2011 NEWPORT BEACH FILM FESTIVAL - CALL FOR ENTRIES

ATTENTION SCREENDANCE ARTISTS AND FILMMAKERS!

Celebrating its 12th year, the NEWPORT BEACH FILM FESTIVAL is open for submissions from innovative filmmakers and artists from around the world, who specialize in the exploration of body, dance, and movement through the medium of film and video. All movement-based genres are accepted, such as videodance, animation and documentary.

Selected films will be showcased in a special program focused on dance and will also be eligible for Jury, Audience, and Festival Awards. Please take advantage of this grand opportunity to screen your work in front of thousands of film fans and industry professionals!

The Festival will be running from April 28 to May 5, 2011 and screened in Newport Beach, CA.
