Open Call: CYNETART Competition 2014

Trans-Media-Akademie Hellerau (DE) announces CYNETART Competition 2014.

Young media artists, artist collectives, creatives and scientists working in the field of new media are invited to hand in their projects. 

The CYNETART Competition is held every two years and comprises the Grant and the Artist-in-Residence Grant from the Saxon State Minister for Higher Education, Research and the Arts, the CYNETART Award in cooperation with HELLERAU – European Centre for the Arts and the CYNETART ARTE Creative Commission. With a total value of about 30,000EUR the CYNETART Competition is considered as one of Europe's most prestigious awards in the fiel of media art.

The winning projects will be presented within "CYNETART – 18th international festival for computer based art and transdisciplinary media projects" taking place from 13th to 19th November 2014 at Festspielhaus Hellerau in Dresden, Germany.

BAX / Brooklyn Arts Exchange is very excited to introduce the
Parent/Choreographer Space Grant Program

This pilot program is an initiative by BAX/Brooklyn Arts Exchange, funded in part by The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, that has been developed to address some of the needs of choreographers who are trying to meet the challenges of being an artist and a parent to newborn through pre-school age (0-4) children. As an organization that has entered its third decade, BAX is intimately familiar with the joys and the difficulties of raising a family and creating and producing work.

TANZPLAN DRESDEN seeks to give new impulses to the contemporary dance scene in Dresden and is therefore looking for two production teams to come to Dresden and create a new project for the dance evening of TANZPLAN DRESDEN in June 2010. Choreographers may apply with a team of for instance multimedia artists, composers, stage designers, musicians, dancers, or artists of other genres. The prime funding criteria is to support and promote young and upcoming talents.
